About the role:
Gold Care Homes is a well –established national independent residential care homes group for the elderly employing circa 1500 employees across 33 care homes. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Company Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting company executives, employees, and goods in a safe and timely manner. The Company Driver will also play a key role in maintaining the vehicle in good condition and adhering to all traffic and company regulations.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Safely transport company personnel, goods, or equipment to designated locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transit.
- Perform routine vehicle checks to ensure proper functionality.
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior.
- Communicate effectively with company personnel and office staff.
- Complete required paperwork, including trip logs and expense reports.
- Ensure timely arrivals and departures for company activities.
- Present a professional and courteous demeanour at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate loads.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Regular driving responsibilities.
- Occasional weekend or evening availability may be required.
