We are seeking a Bank Regional Registered Nurse to join our team mainly supporting our homes based in Southall and West Drayton.

Key Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate should have extensive experience in care and trained with basic life support, catheter male and female, PEG and RIG Tube feeding, and end of life care.
  • Use of electronic care plans, E-mars with some auditing experience.
  • Preferably have multi-site experience and tracheostomy care experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The registered nurse should:

  • To assist the Senior Nurse/Manager in assessing, implementing and evaluating a high standard of resident’s care.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in motivating the staff to:
  • Achieve a high standard of care.
  • Carry out appropriate skills for the job.
  • Direction and support.
  • Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day to day changes.
  • Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy.
  • Ensure that there is adequate staff cover in absence of the Manager.
  • Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
  • Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g. washing and dressing and toileting.
  • Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
  • To deputise for the Manager.
  • Carry out Staff Supervision and Appraisals with Team/Unit allocated.
  • Implement changes in routine and/or procedures as agreed with the Manager.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection process of new staff of all grades.
  • Carry out Staff Induction Programme.
  • Assessment of perspective clients/residents.
  • Completion of the duty rota as necessary.
  • Carry out Internal Quality Audits as agreed with the Manager.
  • Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff.
  • Promote and maintain the good reputation of the home.
  • Comply with the legislative standards of the Care Standards Act.
  • Assist Manager to work within agreed budgets.
