We are seeking a Bank Regional Registered Nurse to join our team mainly supporting our homes based in Southall and West Drayton.
Key Requirements:
- Ideal candidate should have extensive experience in care and trained with basic life support, catheter male and female, PEG and RIG Tube feeding, and end of life care.
- Use of electronic care plans, E-mars with some auditing experience.
- Preferably have multi-site experience and tracheostomy care experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The registered nurse should:
- To assist the Senior Nurse/Manager in assessing, implementing and evaluating a high standard of resident’s care.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in motivating the staff to:
- Achieve a high standard of care.
- Carry out appropriate skills for the job.
- Direction and support.
- Maintain effective communications, both verbal and written, making accurate reports on residents and inform other members of the senior care team of day to day changes.
- Ensure that care procedures are carried out according to policy.
- Ensure that there is adequate staff cover in absence of the Manager.
- Be responsible for the ordering, administration and recording of medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
- Provide appropriate personal care for residents e.g. washing and dressing and toileting.
- Provide physical, emotional and spiritual comfort.
- To deputise for the Manager.
- Carry out Staff Supervision and Appraisals with Team/Unit allocated.
- Implement changes in routine and/or procedures as agreed with the Manager.
- Assist with the recruitment and selection process of new staff of all grades.
- Carry out Staff Induction Programme.
- Assessment of perspective clients/residents.
- Completion of the duty rota as necessary.
- Carry out Internal Quality Audits as agreed with the Manager.
- Participate fully in the training and development of all grades of staff.
- Promote and maintain the good reputation of the home.
- Comply with the legislative standards of the Care Standards Act.
- Assist Manager to work within agreed budgets.
